Why we have optimism.

The field of educational technology has had a long history of optimism. It is one of the defining points of many individuals involved in the pursuit of technology advancement and the idea of creating a better world. Just turn to the ideas when the Internet began, and it was often seen as an opportunity for everyone to connect, learn, and share knowledge freely. (We also somewhat missed that it could be a leading opportunity for a dystopian reality of corporate surveillance and selling our privacy, or that the knowledge shared would also be conflated with throngs of misinformation and endless arguing on comment sections)…
